Sumida Park is located along the Sumida River in Tokyo. It is within walking distance to Asakusa Sensoji Temple.

 

This park is famous as a cherry blossom spot since Edo period when Shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune planted cherry blossom trees here.

 

During the cherry blossom season, both banks of the Sumida River are covered beautiful cherry blossom trees going on for about 1km.

 

The Tokyo Skytree that it the highest construction in Japan with 634m height is viewed at its backdrop.
